Dog sport classes are specialized training sessions that are designed to teach dogs and their handlers how to compete in various dog sports such as agility, rally and nose work. In these classes, dogs learn the specific skills and techniques required for each sport and handlers learn how to properly guide and train their dogs. Dog sport classes are a fun and rewarding way for dogs and their owners to stay active and build a stronger bond with each other.
Sports Classes

For dogs 4 months – 1 year old.
Have you ever seen your puppy zoom through a tunnel at lightning speed? Well now is your chance! Give your pup an appropriate and fun outlet for all that pent-up puppy cuteness while learning the basic foundations of the sport of agility. This special time will not only get them nice and tired (a tired dog is a happy dog) but will expose them to many important pieces of equipment used in a variety of dog sports. Pups will get to run through the tunnel, do balance exercises on wobble boards, learn engaging agility games that teach basic agility fundamentals, and much more. Come once or come multiple times it will be a blast every time!

For any age dog.
This class is an Introduction Class to Various Sports. We will cover the ground skills needed for Agility, Rally, Nose-work, and additional tricks that can transition to obedience. This class is great for someone who wants to find new ways to enrich their dog’s mind, as well as those who have an interest in pursuing a sports class but are unsure which sport class.
Duration: 4 weeks

Requirements: Dogs must have taken a basic obedience course (Dogs 101 or K9 Kinder) or have instructor approval

For dogs 4 months and older.
Rally Obedience is a fun, low pressure, companion dog sport for you and your dog to enjoy. As a more relaxed obedience discipline, rally focuses on attitude and enthusiasm rather than the precision of strict competition obedience. In this 6-week course you will learn exercises that demonstrate your dog’s understanding of basic commands such as: sit, stay, down, come and heel position while on a leash. You and your dog will learn how to perform the exercises for the Rally Novice level and know how to read and complete a variety of Rally courses. Whether you are interested in competing for Rally titles, or just want to try something new and fun with your dog, this is the sport for you.

This class introduces the concept of the game, builds handler observation skills and timing, and gets the dog focused. The first class is primarily an evaluation class, and gets the dog switched to hunting mode. The class will work on building the foundation blocks to help the handler learn their dogs body cues and build the dogs intensity for the hunting game.

This class starts with the training foundations that will set up for success. During this 6 week course you and your dog will be introduced to all the obstacles: jump, tunnel, tire, weave poles, table, teeter, A-frame and dog walk. Prerequisite of Dogs 101 or equivalent.

Requirements: Basic Manners class skills and proof of current DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations required.

In this course, we will build on the foundation of agility by combining already taught obstacles such as: weave poles, jumps, tunnels, and much more.

Requirements: Previous basic agility course is required before the start of class.
